Spent a fabulous evening recently at Kilverts at the Ale and Literature Festival. Great food matching with Pete Brown using our Blackberry Stout (I did have breakfast with Pete as an added bonus) Ed did a great job, what a fabulous range of ales!
Green Man Festival, say no more......... Brilliant!
We are soon to be moving to larger premises and bottle production will be stopped until we are safely installed. Cask production continues as normal as does our 5 litre mini cask and polypin production.
Our Blackberry Stout has been listed in Pete brown's 'Top 50 beers' in The Publican's Morning Advertiser!!!
We will also feature in Melissa Cole's new book, out late Summer 2011
We will be appearing on the telly again next year! The BBC came and filmed the recent Project Venus brew day at Oldershaw's brewery in Grantham. Myself, Sophie from Brentwood Brewery, Michelle from Offbeat and Sara from Brewster's collaborated with Kathy Britton from Oldershaw's to brew a gorgeous beer, Venus Rouge. Watch this space for launch news at The Rake Bar, London, in September.

Blackberry Stout has just won its second award! It won silver in its category at The Hay Ale and Literature Festival!!
We are finalists in 2010 Powys Business Awards!
We are very proud to have been chosen as finalists for this year's awards, having entered for the first time. Judging will take place at the end of September at a black tie dinner in Llanrindod Wells!

We were invited to judge at the SIBA Scotland region beer competition and had a great time judging some great beers!
Champion Strong Bitter
SIBA Wales and West of England Gold and Silver winners! Our Landmark was champion strong bitter at the festival and our Blackberry Stout was a Silver medal winner! More than we could have hoped for at our first ever competition!

Waen Beers at the BEST of Welsh food and drink event
After a special request from The House of Commons The Waen Brewery beers are off to to London again for a special St David’s Day lunch showcasing the BEST of Welsh food and drink! Having had casks of their ale in the bars there last year, their bottled beers were in demand this time. Brewster Sue Hayward says ‘We are thrilled to have been asked to supply beer for something that is shouting about the absolute best of Welsh food and drink. It’s great that our bottled beers are as in demand as the cask ales are, outside of Wales.’

Beers off to Yorkshire, Oxford, Cornwall, Midlands, Surrey, Scotland, Ireland and Buckinghamshire for beer festivals....who said the festival season was coming to an end??
Our Landmark Waen and Fuggle Hop have been out at the beer festivals (thanks Buster at Breconshire Brewery) and feed back was that they were..........EXCELLENT!!!
